Great acting by everyone
After Best New Program, the disappointing Jack Ryan season 4, and poor shows in general, this feels better all around. Very well made and the action/fight scenes are amazing. A lot of the criticism of this show in the comments section is how unrealistic I think it is because of the whole female lead thing and it’s an original IP that doesn’t make a male lead the female lead.
Also, I’ve never seen any red flags that make every man look incompetent or anything
And at first I thought it was going to be more of an action freak show, but then they dove into family a bit and normally that creeps me out, but I don’t dislike what they did there. My only criticism is that the plot of what this particular task force is doing is very story-limiting and could kill it if it skips a season-long plot/villain. They could do a new, more action-packed Homeland, otherwise it risks becoming an episode like Blacklist.

PS: Nicole Kidman’s role so far is incredibly small and unremarkable and anyone else could have done it… the great Morgan Freeman brings to the show… but from what I’ve seen so far, the show can stand on its own.
Zaldana without another A-Lister
TLDR Overall, I’m cautiously optimistic, but I like what I see so far, all incredibly polished and well done. Even without the History Channel, some critics seem to like their entertainment.
